About the Event

You are invited to a day of deep listening, play and expression - into a community of living, breathing, expressive artists. That is what you are already, and what you will be gently guided to realise!

Georgia Shine, cellist and movement facilitator, will be joined by some incredible musicians to create a sonic atmosphere for authentic expression and connection. With her experience as a musician, improvised dancer, Alexander Technique practitioner and artist, she sensitively guides the group into a state of cohesion where we can see, be seen and express what is alive for us. This is a container of discovery, uncovery and recovery. All are welcome.

What to bring:

Please wear comfy clothes to move in, with layers for warmth

Water bottle

Some food to share for lunch (please bring your own crockery)

Journal and pen

Courage to try something new

$90 full, $70 concession, be in touch if you require a further discount

What to expect:

This will be a workshop of facilitated improvisation. We will be using different pathways into the 'zone', to allow us to move beyond social masks and engage with ourselves and each other in an embodied way. This includes writing, mark-making and vocalization as well as dance and movement.

We will begin at 10am, so please arrive by 9:45am to settle into the space for the day.

We will break for lunch from 1-2pm and there will be short breaks during the workshop.

This is a whole day event to allow time for our nervous systems to ease into presence, aliveness and connection in community. Please know that you are responsible for your own choices, and everything is optional and able to be modified to suit your own needs.

There will be snacks and a selection of teas provided, and we will be sharing a pot-luck lunch in the middle of the day, so please bring a plate to share! There will be plenty of food if you are unable to bring anything. This is an invitation to build a sense of community by sharing food and there is no obligation to join the others for lunch if you are needing some alone time.

Due to the remaining Cov*d requirements, we ask that you please bring your own water bottle, cutlery, crockery and dishes. We will be able to use the jug for tea/coffee.

Please be in touch if you have any questions or concerns prior to the event or would like to offer to support as a part of the crew.

Please respect the experience of others in the group, and only share your own experiences and not those of others' after the workshop has completed. We will be entering a sacred space of being that will be strengthened with each individual's respect for the privacy of the group.

Aside from that, it will be a lot of fun, so bring a spirit of play with you as well!

See you there.
